NEW COURSE

New Course — Personal Security for Canada

Lest we forget. Built to address the degrading security situation Canadians face at home — based on our Standard International training, customized for here.

Lest we forget. We released Personal Security for Canada on Remembrance Day for a reason: the freedoms that Canadian veterans fought to preserve include the freedom to move through your own country without fear. That freedom is being eroded.

This course was built to address the degrading security situation Canadians now face in their own communities — random violence in transit systems, targeted vehicle theft crews, home invasions, and the growing gap between what the public perceives and what front-line responders see every night.

The curriculum is based on our Standard International training — the same course we deliver to embassy staff, NGO field teams, and corporate travellers operating in high-threat environments — customized for the Canadian context. The threats are different. The principles are the same.

What you will learn:

• Baseline and anomaly — reading the environment you live in every day so you notice when it changes.

• Route planning, transit, and vehicle discipline for Canadian cities.

• Personal defensive tools that are legal to carry in Canada, and how to use them.

• De-escalation frameworks calibrated to Canadian street encounters.

• Family and workplace security — including how to talk to children, teenagers, and elderly parents about awareness without frightening them.

This is not a firearms course. It is a life-management course. Most of what keeps you safe is decided long before contact.
